Fabriano Watercolour 2020
The Biennial International Prize "Marche d'Acqua" Fabriano Watercolour, established on 2010 by the City of Fabriano - UNESCO Creative City and realized by his Paper and Watermark Museum, is awarded to international Artists who applies Watercolour techniques on paper. The main purpose of the Fabriano's biennial prize is to encourage and spread a love of watercolour painting on real handmade paper by involving ad inviting only the finest of practising artists. This was achievable through the members of the jury panel making their four nominations only choosing those artists that they believe to be of high international standing and not just because they are friends, fellow countrymen or members of their own association of artists. With this aim, in fact, the top Jury, made up of Artists of absolute international reputation, will make the best choices possible reflecting the broad picture of watercolour as it is practised internationally. The opening of Fabriano Watercolour 2020, cause of Covid-19 pandemic, is rescheduled for Saturday, June 19th, 2021. As a tradition, the Biennial will invite all the 14 Members and the President David Paskett PPRWS, former President of the Royal Watercolour Society, all of them international Watercolour Masters, to exhibit their paintings in the Jury Members Show along with the Biennial exhibition.
